Terms of service
Last updated 4 August 2026
The short version
TermTime reads the school emails you forward to it and turns them into one calm summary every Sunday, a same-day heads-up when something can't wait, and dates for your calendar. It's a helper that saves you time. It is not a replacement for reading anything that genuinely matters yourself.
By using TermTime you agree to these terms. If you don't, please don't use it.
Who can use TermTime
You need to be 18 or over and signing up for your own household, as a parent, guardian or carer. One account is for one person; a second parent or guardian can be added to a household on TermTime Plus, as described below.
What TermTime does, and doesn't
TermTime only ever reads the emails you choose to forward to your personal TermTime address. It reads them automatically, using an AI service, to pull out the dates, deadlines and payment requests that go into your digest, heads-ups and calendar.
Because it's automated, it can occasionally miss or misread something. For anything important, such as a payment deadline or a form that has to be returned, please check the original email from your school. TermTime never contacts your school, never pays anything, and never acts on your behalf.
TermTime can also show you what it found in your own language. A translation is a convenience, not a legal document: the school's original wording is always kept alongside it, and that wording is what counts.
Your account
You sign in with a link or a code sent to your email, so there's no password to store. Keep access to your email secure, since anyone who can read it can sign in. You're responsible for what happens under your account.
Trials, subscriptions and billing
TermTime Plus starts with a 14-day free trial; TermTime on its own has no trial and is charged from the day you start it. A card is taken at sign-up through our payment provider, Polar, who is the merchant of record for your subscription. If you're on a trial and don't cancel or change plan before it ends, it becomes a paid subscription at the Plus price.
What you pay depends on the country set on your account. TermTime is £2.49 in the United Kingdom, $2.49 in the United States and R$ 7,49 in Brazil, each month. TermTime Plus is £4.99, $4.99 or R$ 14,99 a month respectively. You're billed monthly by Polar in that currency, and you can change your card, switch plan or cancel at any time from your settings. If you cancel, you keep TermTime until the end of the period you've already paid for. Prices may change in future; we'll let you know before any change affects you.
TermTime Plus and second parents
TermTime Plus adds a full calendar view of your term, the option to sync every date to your phone's calendar, and the ability to add one second parent or guardian to your household.
A second parent you invite must accept the invitation from their own email. Once they do, they get your Sunday summaries and heads-ups, and a read-only view of your family's dates, at no extra charge. They can't change your students, plan or settings. You can remove them at any time, and they can leave at any time; both of you are told by email when that happens.
The calendar sync link is unguessable but not password-protected, so anyone you give it to can see your dates. Look after it, and replace it from your settings if you ever need to.
Acceptable use
Only forward emails you're entitled to receive. Don't use TermTime to break the law, to store or process anyone else's data without their permission, or to disrupt, overload or reverse-engineer the service.
Availability and changes
We work hard to keep TermTime running, but we can't promise it's always available. There may be maintenance, occasional outages, or changes to how features work as we improve it.
No guarantees
TermTime is provided as is. It's an aid, not a guarantee that you'll never miss a date, and to the extent the law allows we're not liable for anything missed, misread, delayed or lost through using it. For anything that really matters, always rely on your school's own communications.
Cancelling and your data
You can cancel at any time from settings, and you can ask us to delete everything we hold about you at any time. See our Privacy policy for how your data is handled.
These terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The current version always lives on this page, and for any material change we'll let you know. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
